Ingredients and Supplement Facts
 Calorad
® Advanced is a food supplement containing 12 calories, 3 grams of
protein, 0 grams of fat and 0 grams of carbohydrate per 1-tablespoon
serving. The collagen hydrolysate in Calorad® is extracted from
certified beef or fish. The product is inspected for purity before
use. Calorad ® is a clear, liquid food supplement (but NOT a meal
replacement plan) with lemonade or pink-lemonade flavor, and
containing 12 calories, 3 grams of protein, 0 grams of fat and 0
grams of carbohydrate per 1-tablespoon serving. Calorad® Advanced contains
no herbal or chemical stimulants.
The primary "active" ingredient in Calorad® Advanced is collagen
hydrolysate (hydrolyzed collagen) which is extracted from either
certified Canadian beef or tuna fish (the fish version is Kosher
certified for the Jewish community). The beef and fish versions have
different flavoring. Calorad ® Advanced Kosher contains collagen from fish,
natural pink lemonade flavoring, and is certified Kosher. Calorad®
Advanced
bovine contains collagen from certified inspected beef of an
European source, and contains Natural lemonade flavoring. The
product is inspected for purity, packaged into 1/2 liter bottles,
and has a shelf-life of approximately 1 year, opened, and kept
refrigerated. Shelf life of 2 years, unopened. Further, the
company's raw materials have been certified for material safety and
are 100% safe and free of BSE. Additionally, none of our products
have been held up, delayed or treated untowardly by US customs. We
have had zero issues and no border alerts. The source of collagen is
connective tissue found between the meat and skin (in cows) and
between the flesh and bone in fish. The hydrolyzed (pre-digested)
collagen in Calorad ® Advanced is not remarkably different from the collagen
supplied by gelatin products such as Jello®, however is much more
refined and concentrated, and is made primarily from the very best
type-2 collagen, whereas gelatin products may have a mixture of all
types and qualities of collagen.
Why don't I just eat steak for protein and amino acids?
These proteins (steak, tuna etc.) are harder for the body to break
down to extract amino acids. Some amino acids will be compromised
and even lost in digestion. Calorad ® Advanced does not contain a
whole protein molecule. It is in a sense already broken down for you
(pre-digested and bio available) and, therefore, very easily
assimilated by the body.
Should I be concerned with mercury levels if I prefer the Calorad
® ADVANCED marine formula?
The marine collagen used in Calorad ® Advanced comes from a tuna fish source. We test our raw material for mercury content. Recent laboratory analysis concludes that the percentage of mercury in our
marine source is zero.

For your protection, each individual Calorad bottle is plastic vacuum sealed, and has a shelf life of approximately 2 years
unopened and 1 year open if kept in the refrigerator.
