1. What's the difference between the marine and bovine formulas? Does one work better?
The difference lies in the source of the collagen, being beef or deep-sea tuna. One formula is not recommended over the other, it's a matter of preference. We introduced the marine formula more than six years ago to address a vegetarian and kosher market. The main difference in the alternate collagen sources is the actual composition of the amino acid chain (certain amino acids will be in higher or lower proportions). We do not have any evidence to conclude that one formula works better than the other for weight loss, every body is different and again, it is a matter of preference.

2. Can a pregnant or breast feeding woman use Calorad ADVANCED?
Calorad ADVANCED is not recommended for pregnant or lactating women.

3. Can my child use Calorad ADVANCED?
Calorad ADVANCED is not recommended for prepubescent children.

4. Why can’t pregnant/lactating women and pre-pubescent children take the product?
This is a disclaimer that is required by both the Canadian and United States agencies. For pregnant and lactating mothers we do not want a born or unborn child subject to the toxins that can be released during fat breakdown and repair processes of the body. For children, their lymph system may not be fully developed to again deal with the possibility of toxin release. You may check with health care professional alternative suggestions.

5. Why don't I just eat steak for protein and amino acids?
These proteins (steak, tuna etc.) are harder for the body to break down to extract amino acids. Some amino acids will be compromised and even lost in digestion. Calorad ADVANCED does not contain a whole protein molecule. It is in a sense already broken down for you (pre-digested and bio available) and, therefore, very easily assimilated by the body.

6. Can I take Calorad ADVANCED forever?
You can take it forever; it's essentially a food, safe and effective. You may even choose to slow consumption and take it only on weekdays and stop on weekends, once the desired results have been achieved.

7. What kind of results can I expect?
Individual results may vary but approximately 50% of Calorad ADVANCED users sees results in the first month. Results peak between 60 to 90 days for 86% of users. In addition, we recommend healthy food choices and moderate exercise for accelerated results and overall better health.

8. What is the shelf-life of the product?
Every bottle has an expiration date and lot number.

9. Will Calorad ADVANCED interfere with my medication(s)?
Anytime a client has a medical condition, we suggest that they consult their health care practitioner before introducing any new supplements.

10. How soon after taking any medications, may I take Calorad ADVANCED?
We suggest doing so at least one hour before consuming Calorad ADVANCED.

11. Should I be concerned with mercury levels if I prefer the Calorad ADVANCED marine formula?
The marine collagen used in Calorad ADVANCED comes from a tuna fish source. We test our raw material for mercury content. Recent laboratory analysis concludes that the percentage of mercury in our marine source is zero.

12. What kind of collagen is in Calorad ADVANCED?
There are two kinds: Marine and Bovine.

13. Is Calorad ADVANCED kosher?
Only Calorad ADVANCED marine is kosher. The way you can tell the difference is by the k on the front and the word marine will also appear.

14. Is there natural lemonade and orange flavoring in both Calorad ADVANCED products?
YES!

15. Is there a price difference between the marine and bovine formulas?
NO!

16. Where do the cows come from in the beef (bovine) Calorad ADVANCED product?
Germany. This raw material is tested for safety and efficacy by the Canadian Agriculture Department and then by the manufacturer.

17. What is the source for the marine Calorad ADVANCED?
Tuna fish. Again, please note that we do have analysis to show the mercury content is 0%.

18. How will the bottles look different?
The front panel of the bottles will reflect either marine (with k) or bovine.

19. What does the Aloe Vera in Calorad ADVANCED do? What is its role in weight loss? Also, what type of genera of Aloe Vera is used?
Aloe Vera contains enzymes that assist in the metabolic process of collagen. It does not play a direct role with respect to weight loss. The safety of Calorad ADVANCED is 100% guaranteed. We use the gel under the leaf of the plant opposed to the whole leaf.

20. Why do I need to take Calorad ADVANCED on an empty stomach? How will taking Calorad ADVANCED on a full stomach change its efficacy?
Hydrolysat is a form of collagen supplementation that was originally designed for weight loss. It has been used on animals in Canada for over a decade, notably with chickens. Hydrolysat solved the fatty liver syndrome that was such a widespread condition that affected chickens. Hydrolysat is the only collagen supplementation available today that DOES NOT go through the digestive system since it is absorbed directly through the stomach. Therefore, there is no breakdown by the digestive system. It is bioavailable in its pure form that will be directly absorbed into the blood stream with no wasting of time or energy by the digestive process. The amino acid chain remains intact. These amino acids are building blocks of collagen. Take Calorad ADVANCED on an empty stomach. As the hydrolysat works to build lean muscle and provide for the other collagen deficiencies that may exist, the only available energy is stored fat!

21. Why do you say that Calorad ADVANCED can provide a better night’s sleep?
Calorad ADVANCED provides the fuel that allows the body to actually achieve a deep sleep. We need a sufficient amount of energy to fall asleep. In the first 45 – 90 minutes of sleep your body goes into delta sleep mode, the deepest form of sleep where the body naturally repairs itself, builds muscle and breaks down fat. During this process the body searches for a source of energy and fuel to fulfill this function. Calorad ADVANCED acts as the fuel for this natural process.

22. If I take the formula in the day will I still obtain a better night’s sleep?
Yes!

23. Why should I take Calorad ADVANCED before working out?
You would take Calorad ADVANCED to improve stamina and provide energy. Exercise is stress to the body in some sense and stress will tear down muscle tissue. It is more important to stop muscle breakdown. By providing your body with a high-energy food like Calorad ADVANCED - you give the body the opportunity not to steal from itself.

24. Can I take Calorad®ADVANED if I have alcohol present in my bloodstream?
Calorad ADVANCED works best on an empty stomach. Alcohol does have to pass through the digestive system. We suggest only water for at least three hours before consuming Calorad ADVANCED.

25. Does Calorad ADVANCED contain any stimulants?
No! Calorad ADVANCED contains natural ingredients that are safe and effective. There are NO STIMULANTS in Calorad such as ma huang, ephedra, gaurana, white willow bark, cola nut, caffeine, etc.
